The widget allows you to place the synthetic employee directly on your website's pages for prompt client assistance. It serves as a tool for round-the-clock consultations, lead collection, and reducing the workload on human staff.
How to set up
- In the widget settings section, you can pre-customize its appearance: choose corporate colors, upload a logo, and set up the greeting text.
- Copy the short JavaScript code provided by the system.
- Insert this code into the appropriate place in your website's HTML code, or send it to a technical specialist.
- After installation, check the widget's display on the site and make sure the AI starts the dialogue correctly.
Result
Website visitors see a branded chat window and can get consultations in text or voice format (via WebRTC) instantly, without leaving the page.

The online consultant for your site is set up in Binom through the Widget, a chat button in the corner of the site that opens a conversation window over the page. The consultant is available on every page and does not take up space in its content. To install the Widget, copy one line of code in the Integrations → Widget section and paste it once into the site's common template.
If you need the chat window inside a specific page, choose iFrame; if you don't have a website, choose the public link.
How to install the Widget
- Open Integrations → Widget.
- Customize the appearance of the button and window and click "Update". Details: how to customize the widget's appearance.
- Copy the code from the block "1. Copy the following code and paste it into the appropriate place on your website". It is a single line of this form:
<script data-id="ID of your Binom" data-host="https://app.binomai.com/" src="https://app.binomai.com/js/binomHelper.js"></script> - Paste the code once into the site's common template, usually before the closing
</body>tag. The button will then appear on all pages.
The code already contains the ID of your Binom. If you have several Binoms, check that the correct one is selected in your account before you copy the code.
Where to paste the code
- WordPress: through the custom code field in the theme settings or through a plugin for inserting code into the site footer (for example, WPCode). Add the code to the footer of the whole site, not to a single page.
- Website builders: in the site settings, find the field for code that runs on all pages.
- Custom-built websites: give the developer the line of code and ask them to add it to the common template once.
Pasting the same code again does not create a second button, but keep the code in one place so it is easier to replace.
Product context
The Widget automatically passes the address of the page the customer is on to the chat. No separate code is needed for this. How Binom matches a page to a product: Product ID.
How to check the result
- Open the website in incognito mode on a computer and on a phone.
- Make sure the button is visible and does not cover the site's buttons (cart, order button).
- Open the window, check the greeting, and send a question.
- Go to another page of the site: the button should remain.
- If WebRTC voice chat is enabled, check the voice conversation.
- Find the test conversation in Chats: in the source filter, select "Widget".
Possible problems
The card is grey and marked "Not available on your plan"
What it means: the public chat, iFrame and Widget are included in one plan option, and that option is not part of your plan. The Free plan does not include widget installation or iFrame (Free plan limitations). In the code block, instead of the code, you will see the message "Your plan does not include the widget integration."
How to switch to the required plan:
- Find out which plan you need: in the Integrations section, hover over the gray card. The tooltip "Upgrade to …" will name the most affordable plan that includes this integration. For how the Free, Basic, Pro and Business plans differ, see how much Binom AI costs.
- Open Subscription. If you are on the free plan, click "Choose plan". If you are on a paid plan, click "Compare plans".
- Choose a plan and a billing period (monthly, every 3 months, or yearly), then click "Confirm and pay". The payment page will open.
- After payment, you will see "Subscription payment successful!". Go back to Integrations → Widget. The card will be marked "Available".
Want to try it first? A 7-day trial includes the features of the Basic plan. See how to start a subscription or a trial period. If you see "Payment was not completed. Your plan has not changed" after paying, try the payment again or write to support@binomai.com, including your account email and the plan you chose.
The message "You do not have permission to manage this section"
What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level for the selected Binom can set up integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to assign the task to them. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it is resolved: after you refresh the page, the integrations catalog opens.

Other common questions
How do I install an online chat assistant on a WordPress site?
Copy the line of code on the Integrations → Widget tab and add it to the footer of the entire site, using the custom code field of your theme or a code insertion plugin.
Do I need a developer to put a chatbot on my site?
No. It is a single line of code that you insert once into the site's common template. If a developer built your site, give them this line.
How do I change the color and logo of the chat button?
On the same tab. For details, see the guide how to set up the chat widget.
