How to connect a chatbot for an online store to the catalog via a link
- Open Price Lists.
- Click "Add Google Merchant" or "Add RSS price list".
- Paste the feed link and click "Add". The hint in the window specifies the format: for RSS, "We support the RSS 2.0 specification, using the tags <id>, <title>, <description>, <link>, <price>, <category>, <image_link>, and we sync the information once a day."
- The source will appear in the "Data Sources" list with the status "Pending" or "Processing", then "Processed". Processing may take several hours.
- Products will appear in the "Products" table. There is no need to retrain Binom: it uses the price list right after processing.
Binom searches for products primarily in the price list. If the answer to the same question is pinned in a knowledge card, the card takes priority.
How to check that the AI consultant sees the catalog
- Find a few products in the "Products" table using search.
- Ask Binom in a new chat about a product's price and availability: how to check that Binom is using the new data.
- If the source has the status "Error", for CSV see CSV price list upload errors; for a feed, check that the link opens and delivers the file in the specified format.
