Accelo Integration: Leads, Projects and Invoices from Chats – Accelo in Binom

Updated 6 min read 22 / 28
Short answer

How to connect Accelo to Binom: prospects, requests, project and invoice status, proposals. Available on request.

The Accelo integration connects conversations with your professional services business system: the AI employee creates a new prospect, opens a support ticket, reports the status of a project and invoice, and prepares a commercial proposal. Accelo is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Accelo.

What Binom can do in Accelo

Binom here refers to your AI employee. After you connect Accelo, it calls the service's actions when a conversation needs that data. You decide which actions are available to it. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Accelo).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Clients Companies and contacts Create, edit, delete
Sales Prospects, proposals Create and edit
Issues Issues (tickets) Create, edit, delete
Projects Projects, tasks, milestones Create and edit
Finance Invoices, payments, contracts, expenses Create invoices, payments, contracts, and expenses
Activities Activities, staff Create activities

Can the chatbot open a ticket in Accelo?

Yes. Binom finds the client's company ("List Companies") and creates an issue ("Create Issue (Ticket)") with a description of the problem from the conversation.

Project and invoice status on the client's request

The client asks how the work is going. Binom finds the project ("Get Job (Project)") and tells them its status, and it answers questions about an invoice using "Get Invoice".

What access you will need

Connection method: API key. You will need an Accelo service account with an API token. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Accelo page in the dashboard.

How to get the Accelo integration

Accelo is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the guide how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Accelo" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Accelo card.
  2. The "Accelo integration for assistant" page will show the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Accelo.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Accelo page.
  5. Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connect Accelo" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Accelo

The connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant can trigger. Until something is selected, it has access to none of them."

  1. On the Accelo page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom describes what it plans to do and waits for your confirmation.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms your changes.

To start, "List Companies", "Create Issue (Ticket)", "Get Job (Project)" and "Create Prospect" are enough. Add update and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Accelo.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through the public chat link, and describe a test issue. Then check the ticket in Accelo.
  • Delete the test ticket after checking.

Possible problems

Binom does not use Accelo data in its answers

What to check: that the Accelo status is "Connected" and that the needed actions are selected (for example "Create Issue (Ticket)").
What to do: select the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Accelo data.

"Could not save your request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Accelo).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: your request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Accelo can be connected.

"Reconnect needed"

What this means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
What to do: open the Accelo page under More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status shows "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Accelo) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connect Accelo" window opens.

"Available on a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." To see what each plan includes, check the plans and subscription pricing page. For instructions on how to change or upgrade your plan, see the guide. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Accelo again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What this means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask your account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Accelo yourself. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it's resolved: after you refresh the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem persists, write to support@binomai.com or, in the chat with Binom Tutor, type "I want to talk to a person". Include the name of the Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Accelo

On the Accelo page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Accelo?" dialog will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to reconnect the integration and enter the access details again." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" will appear.

Other common questions

Can Binom create a prospect in Accelo?

Yes, using the "Create Prospect" action, and it prepares the offer using "Create Quote".

Do I need a developer to integrate Accelo?

No. You request Accelo in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
