hc1 integration: laboratory client data in chat – hc1 in Binom

Short answer

How to connect hc1 to Binom: searching organizations and contacts, requests, tasks and notes. Available on request.

The hc1 integration helps lab staff work with the client database: the AI employee finds an organization or contact and shows the cases, tasks and notes related to it. hc1 is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → hc1.

What Binom can do in hc1

Here, Binom means your AI employee. Once hc1 is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in hc1).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Organizations Clinics and organizations No
Contacts Doctors and staff No
Cases and tasks Cases, tasks, notes No
Search Record search, saved views No

Can Binom find clinic data in hc1?

Yes. Binom searches records by text ("Search Records") and shows organization details ("Get Organization").

Client cases and tasks

Binom shows cases ("List Cases") and tasks ("List Tasks") so that the staff member can quickly understand the client's situation.

What access you will need

Connection method: the login and password of a user. The hc1 user must not have two-factor authentication enabled. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the hc1 page in the dashboard.

How to get the hc1 integration

hc1 is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the instructions on how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "hc1" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the hc1 card.
  2. On the "hc1 integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in hc1.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the hc1 page.
  5. Click "Connect," complete the steps in the "Connecting hc1" window, and click "Done." After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected." If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in hc1

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. Until something is selected, it has access to nothing."

  1. On the hc1 page, tick the actions you need in the Actions list. The Filter actions field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it intends to do and wait for your confirmation.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms your changes.

To start, "Search Records", "Get Organization", "List Cases" and "List Tasks" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in hc1.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, ask about a real organization, and compare the answer with hc1.

Possible issues

Binom does not use hc1 data in its answers

What to check: the hc1 status is "Connected" and the needed actions are ticked (for example "Get Organization").
What to do: tick the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using hc1 data.

"Could not record the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (hc1).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"The integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been recorded."

You don't need to do anything else: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when hc1 can be connected.

"Reconnect required"

What it means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
What to do: open the hc1 page under More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status shows "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (hc1) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connect hc1" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open hc1 again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect hc1 yourself. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it is resolved: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem isn't resolved, write to support@binomai.com or in the chat with Tutor and type "I want to talk to a person". Specify the Binom name, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect hc1

On the hc1 page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect hc1?" dialog will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the access credentials." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.
