Reo.dev Integration: Developer Interest in Your Product Within Conversations – Reo.dev in Binom

Updated 6 min read 01 / 28
Short answer

How to connect Reo.dev to Binom: company lookup by domain, developer activity, and sales lists. Available on request.

The Reo.dev integration with Binom helps you sell developer products: the domain AI employee finds a company, shows the activity of its developers, and adds the company to your list. Reo.dev is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Reo.dev.

What Binom can do in Reo.dev

Binom here means your AI employee. After you connect Reo.dev, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is marked: read (Binom only views data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Reo.dev).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Companies Company by domain, activity, developers No
Segments and audiences Segments, their companies, developers, buyers, audiences No
Lists Lists Creating a list, adding companies and developers

Can Binom learn about a client's company through Reo.dev?

Yes. Using the domain from the conversation, Binom finds the company ("Get Account Details") and shows the activity of its developers ("Get Account Activities").

Adding a company to a sales list

Binom adds the company to the right list ("Add To List") so the sales team doesn't miss it.

What access you will need

Connection method: API key. The API key is issued by Reo.dev support. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Reo.dev page in the dashboard.

How to get the Reo.dev integration

Reo.dev is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. General catalog rules are described in the instructions on how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Reo.dev" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Reo.dev card.
  2. On the "Reo.dev integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Reo.dev.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration becomes available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Reo.dev page.
  5. Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connecting Reo.dev" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Reo.dev

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. Until something is selected, it has no access to any of them."

  1. On the Reo.dev page, tick the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter by actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it is about to do and wait for your reply.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To get started, "Get Account Details", "Get Account Activities", "List Account Developers" and "Add To List" are enough. Add the write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Reo.dev.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, enter the domain of a well-known company, and check Binom's answer.

Possible problems

Binom does not use Reo.dev data in its answers

What to check: that the Reo.dev status is "Connected" and the needed actions are ticked (for example "Get Account Activities").
What to do: tick the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Reo.dev data.

"Could not save the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Reo.dev).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Reo.dev can be connected.

"Reconnection required"

What this means: "The service no longer accepts saved credentials, so the assistant does not use them."
What to do: open the Reo.dev page under More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status shows "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Reo.dev) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connecting Reo.dev" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to change your plan, see how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, go back to More integrations and open Reo.dev again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What this means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Reo.dev themselves. More: team access levels.
How to tell it is resolved: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem persists, write to support@binomai.com or send the message "I want to talk to a human" in the chat with Binom Tutor. Include the name of your Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Reo.dev

On the Reo.dev page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Reo.dev?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the access details." Confirm, and you will see "Integration disconnected".

Other common questions

Do I need a developer to integrate Reo.dev?

No. You request Reo.dev in Integrations → More integrations, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect your account yourself and choose the actions.
