How to connect Hailey HR to Binom: clock in and out, breaks, time off, job openings and hiring. Available on request.
The Hailey HR integration with Binom helps your team track time: your AI employee clocks work start and end and breaks, shows time off, and takes candidates into hiring. Hailey HR is available on request in your Binom account: Integrations → More integrations → Hailey HR.
What Binom can do in Hailey HR
Here, Binom means your AI employee. After you connect Hailey HR, it calls the service's actions when a conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In your account, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Hailey HR).
| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
|---|---|---|
| Time tracking | Time report | Clock in and out, break |
| Time off | Time off | Import time off |
| Hiring | Job openings | Pass candidate to hiring |
| Employees | Employees, employment records, salaries | Create, edit |
| Training | Trainings and sessions | Create and edit |
Can an employee clock in through Binom?
Yes. The employee writes in the chat, and Binom clocks work start ("Clock In") and end ("Clock Out"), as well as the start and end of a break ("Start Break", "End Break").
Time off and hiring
Binom shows employees' time off ("List Time Off"), tells candidates about job openings ("List Job Ads"), and passes a candidate to hiring ("Initiate Hiring").
What access you will need
Connection method: access token. A personal token from the Hailey HR panel works with the permissions of the user who created it. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Hailey HR page in your account.
How to get the Hailey HR integration
Hailey HR is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the instructions how to connect a service from "More integrations".
- Open Integrations → More integrations, type "Hailey HR" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Hailey HR card.
- The page "Hailey HR integration for assistant" will show the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Here, the assistant is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows what access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Hailey HR.
- Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will get a notification when the integration is available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
- A Binom team member will contact you about setup. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Hailey HR page.
- Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connect Hailey HR" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".
How to choose what Binom can do in Hailey HR
A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. Your account states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant can use. Until you select something, it has no access to any action."
- On the Hailey HR page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it plans to do and wait for your reply.
- Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms your changes.
To start, "List Employees", "Clock In", "Clock Out" and "List Time Off" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom change data in Hailey HR.
How to check that the integration works
- Start a new chat with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, log a test clock in, and check the record in Hailey HR.
