How to connect Articulate Reach 360 to Binom: course and learning path enrollment, and learner progress reports. Available on request.
The Articulate Reach 360 integration with Binom helps with training: your AI employee enrolls people in a course or learning path and shows what the employee has already completed. Articulate Reach 360 is available on request in your Binom account: Integrations → More integrations → Articulate Reach 360.
What Binom can do in Articulate Reach 360
Here, Binom means your AI employee. After you connect Articulate Reach 360, it calls the service's actions when a conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. What access you will need
Connection method: API key. The key has the permissions of the administrator who created it and works in the selected data region. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Articulate Reach 360 page in your account.
How to get the Articulate Reach 360 integration
Articulate Reach 360 is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the guide how to connect a service from "More integrations".
- Open Integrations → More integrations, type "Articulate Reach 360" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Articulate Reach 360 card.
- The page "Articulate Reach 360 integration for assistant" will show the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Here, the assistant is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Articulate Reach 360.
- Click "Request integration." You will see "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available," and the button will change to "Requested."
- A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Articulate Reach 360 page.
- Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connect Articulate Reach 360" window, and click "Done." After "Connecting…," the status will change to "Connected." If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete: check again in a minute," click "Check again."
How to choose what Binom can do in Articulate Reach 360
A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The account states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant can call. Until something is selected, the assistant has no access to any action."
- On the Articulate Reach 360 page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it plans to do and wait for your reply.
- Click "Save." The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.
To start, "List Courses," "List Learning Paths," "Enroll User In Course," and "Get Learner Report" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Articulate Reach 360.
How to check that the integration works
- Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, ask it to enroll a test employee in a course, and check the enrollment.
