Traffit Integration: Job Postings and Candidate Applications from Chat – Traffit in Binom

Short answer

How to connect Traffit to Binom: published job postings, applications through the form, candidate notes and stages. Available on request.

The Traffit integration with Binom supports recruiting: your AI employee shares published job openings, submits applications through the job form, leaves a note and moves the candidate to the next stage. Traffit is available on request in your Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Traffit.

What Binom can do in Traffit

Binom here means your AI employee. After Traffit is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Traffit).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Job postings Published ads, job postings, stages, application form Creating and editing, applying
Candidates Candidates, files, tags, history Creating, editing, note, stage, rejection
Clients Client companies and contacts Creating and editing
Talent pool Pools Creating, adding candidates

Can the chatbot submit an application in Traffit?

Yes. Binom shows published job postings ("List Published Job Posts"), checks the application form fields ("Get Recruitment Form") and submits an application ("Apply To Recruitment").

Candidate note and stage

Binom adds a note about the conversation ("Add Employee Note") and, when the recruiter asks, moves the candidate forward ("Move Employee To Next State").

What access you will need

Connection method: OAuth 2.0 with client keys. You will need an API client in your Traffit account settings. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Traffit page in the dashboard.

How to get the Traffit integration

Traffit is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the guide how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, type "Traffit" in the "Search integrations" field and open the Traffit card.
  2. On the "Traffit integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Here, the assistant is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Traffit.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button appears on the Traffit page.
  5. Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connect Traffit" window and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status changes to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Traffit

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant can call. Until something is selected, the assistant has no access to any action."

  1. On the Traffit page, check the boxes for the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it intends to do and wait for your reply.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To start, "List Published Job Posts", "Get Recruitment Form", "Apply To Recruitment" and "Add Employee Note" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Traffit.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new chat with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, ask about open job postings and compare the answers with Traffit.

Possible issues

Binom does not use Traffit data in its answers

What to check: the Traffit status is "Connected" and the needed actions are selected (for example "Get Recruitment Form").
What to do: select the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new chat Binom answers using Traffit data.

"Could not record the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Traffit).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable. Your request has been recorded."

Nothing else is needed: your request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Traffit can be connected.

"Reconnection required"

What it means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant has stopped using it."
What to do: open the Traffit page in More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status is "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Traffit) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connect Traffit" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription prices page. To change your plan, follow the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Traffit again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin level or to connect Traffit themselves. More: access levels in the team.
How to tell it is resolved: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem is not resolved, write to support@binomai.com or, in the Tutor chat, send "I want to talk to a person". Include the name of your Binom, the integration and a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Traffit

On the Traffit page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Traffit?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the access details." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" appears.

Common questions

Do I need a developer to integrate Traffit?

No. You request Traffit in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
