How to connect Coveto to Binom: job postings, candidates with resumes, linking to a job posting, application confirmation. Available on request.
The Coveto integration with Binom helps recruiting: the AI employee tells candidates about open positions, creates an applicant with a resume, links them to a job, and sends an application confirmation. Coveto is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Coveto.
What Binom can do in Coveto
Here, Binom means your AI employee. Once Coveto is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions are available to it. In the dashboard, each action is marked: read (Binom only views data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Coveto).
| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
|---|---|---|
| Applicants | Applicants, search, files, statuses | Creating, editing, files, linking to a job, sending application confirmation |
| Jobs | Job adverts, internal vacancies, categories | Creating and editing |
| Companies and contacts | Companies, contacts | Creating and editing |
| Tasks | Tasks, boards | Creating and editing |
| Placement requests | Placement requests | Creating and editing |
Can the chatbot accept an application in Coveto?
Yes. Binom shares open job adverts ("List Job Adverts"), creates an applicant ("Create Applicant"), attaches a resume ("Upload Applicant File"), and links them to a job ("Add Applicant To Job").
Confirmation to the candidate
Binom sends the candidate a confirmation that their application has been received ("Send Application Confirmation").
What access you will need
Connection method: API key. The key is created in the Coveto REST API settings, and permissions are set by section. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Coveto page in the dashboard.
How to get the Coveto integration
Coveto is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. General catalog rules are described in the instructions on how to connect a service from "More integrations".
- Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Coveto" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Coveto card.
- The "Coveto integration for assistant" page will show the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Here, the assistant is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Coveto.
- Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration becomes available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
- A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Coveto page.
- Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connecting Coveto" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If the message "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete: check again in a minute." appears, click "Check again".
How to choose what Binom can do in Coveto
A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. Until something is selected, it has no access to any of them."
- On the Coveto page, check the boxes for the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it plans to do and wait for your reply.
- Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.
To start, "List Job Adverts", "Search Applicants", "Create Applicant" and "Add Applicant To Job" are enough. Add the update and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Coveto.
How to check that the integration works
- Start a new chat with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, submit a test application and check the candidate in Coveto.
Possible issues
Binom does not use Coveto data in its replies
What to check: that the Coveto status is "Connected" and the required actions are checked (for example "Search Applicants").
What to do: check the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is fixed: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new chat Binom answers using Coveto data.
"Couldn't save the request. Try again."
What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, email support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Coveto).
How to tell it is fixed: the button shows "Requested".
"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."
No further action is needed: your request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Coveto becomes available to connect.
"Reconnect required"
What this means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant cannot use it."
What to do: open the Coveto page under More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is fixed: the status shows "Connected".
"Couldn't start the connection. Try again."
What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, email support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Coveto) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is fixed: the "Coveto connection" window opens.
"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button
The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the pricing and subscription plans page. For how to change your plan, see how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Coveto again.
"You don't have permission to manage this section."
What this means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Coveto themselves. For more details, see access levels in a team.
How to tell it is fixed: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.
If the problem isn't resolved, write to support@binomai.com or in the chat with Tutor "I want to talk to a person". Include the name of the Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.
How to disconnect Coveto
On the Coveto page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Coveto?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the credentials." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.
Other common questions
Do I need a programmer to integrate Coveto?
No. You request Coveto in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
