Orderspace Integration: Wholesale Orders and Stock Availability from Chat – Orderspace at Binom

Updated 6 min read 02 / 11
Short answer

How to connect Orderspace to Binom: stock availability, wholesale orders, shipments and invoices. Available on request.

The Orderspace integration with Binom supports wholesale sales: the AI employee answers wholesale customers about products and stock, takes orders, reports shipments and finds invoices. Orderspace is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Orderspace.

What Binom can do in Orderspace

Binom here means your AI employee. Once Orderspace is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions are available to it. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Orderspace).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Products and stock Products, categories, stock levels Creation and editing, stock level updates
Orders Orders, shipments Creating an order and a shipment
Customers Customers, groups, price lists, payment terms Creation and editing
Invoices Invoices Creating an invoice for orders

Can a chatbot accept a wholesale order in Orderspace?

Yes. Binom finds the customer ("List Customers"), checks stock ("List Inventory Levels") and creates the order ("Create Order").

Shipment and invoice

Binom reports the order status ("Get Order"), shipments ("List Dispatches") and finds the invoice ("Get Invoice").

What access you will need

Connection method: sign-in via OAuth 2.0 (you log in to your service account and confirm access). You will need a Custom Integration in the Orderspace administrator panel. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Orderspace page in the dashboard.

How to get the Orderspace integration

Orderspace is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the instructions how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Orderspace" in the "Search integrations" field and open the Orderspace card.
  2. The "Orderspace integration for assistant" page will show the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access will be needed, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Orderspace.
  3. Click "Request integration". "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration becomes available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Orderspace page.
  5. Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connecting Orderspace" window and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete: check again in a minute." appears, click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Orderspace

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. While nothing is selected, it has no access to any of them."

  1. On the Orderspace page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter by actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it is about to do and wait for your reply.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To get started, "List Products", "List Inventory Levels", "Create Order" and "Get Order" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Orderspace.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example via a public chat link, ask about product availability, and compare the answer with Orderspace.

Possible problems

Binom does not use Orderspace data in its answers

What to check: that the Orderspace status is "Connected" and the needed actions are checked (for example "List Inventory Levels").
What to do: check the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Orderspace data.

"Could not save the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Orderspace).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"The integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Orderspace can be connected.

"Reconnection required"

What it means: "The service no longer accepts saved credentials, so the assistant does not use them."
What to do: open the Orderspace page in More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status is "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Orderspace) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connecting Orderspace" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Orderspace again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Orderspace themselves. More details: access levels in the team.
How to tell it is resolved: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem is not resolved, write to support@binomai.com or, in the chat with Tutor, send "I want to talk to a person". Include the name of the Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Orderspace

On the Orderspace page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Orderspace?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to reconnect the integration and enter the access details again." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.

Other common questions

Do I need a developer to integrate Orderspace?

No. You request Orderspace in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
