How to connect Procurify to Binom: purchase requests, catalog items, and supplier order status. Available on request.
The Procurify integration with Binom turns employee requests into purchases: the AI employee creates a requisition, reports the status of a supplier order, and finds catalog items. Procurify is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Procurify.
What Binom can do in Procurify
Binom here means your AI employee. After you connect Procurify, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or removes data in Procurify).
| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
|---|---|---|
| Requisitions | No | Create a requisition |
| Purchase orders | Orders, payment history | Edit, close, reopen |
| Catalog | Catalog items and item sets | Create and edit |
| Invoices and payments | Supplier invoices, payments | Mark as paid |
| Directories | Suppliers, departments, locations, accounting codes | Create and edit |
Can a chatbot create a purchase requisition in Procurify?
Yes. The employee describes what they need, and Binom selects catalog items ("List Catalog Items") and creates a requisition ("Create Requisition").
Supplier order status
Binom finds the order ("Retrieve Purchase Order") and reports its status.
What access you will need
Connection method: sign-in via OAuth 2.0 (you log in to your service account and confirm access). You will need an API application in the Procurify settings. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Procurify page in the dashboard.
How to get the Procurify integration
Procurify is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. General catalog rules are described in the instructions how to connect a service from "More integrations".
- Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Procurify" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Procurify card.
- On the "Procurify integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows what access is needed, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Procurify.
- Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
- A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Procurify page.
- Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connecting Procurify" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".
How to choose what Binom can do in Procurify
A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. Until something is selected, it has no access to any action."
- On the Procurify page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Turn on the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it plans to do and wait for your reply.
- Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms your changes.
To start, "List Catalog Items", "Create Requisition", "List Purchase Orders" and "Retrieve Purchase Order" are enough. Add update and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Procurify.
How to check that the integration works
- Start a new chat with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, describe a test purchase, and check the request in Procurify.
Possible problems
Binom does not use Procurify data in its answers
What to check: that the Procurify status is "Connected" and the needed actions are checked (for example "Create Requisition").
What to do: check the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new chat Binom answers using Procurify data.
"Could not save the request. Try again."
What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Procurify).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".
"Integration temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."
You don't need to do anything else: your request is saved, and you will get a notification when Procurify is available to connect.
"Reconnect needed"
What it means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
What to do: open the Procurify page in More integrations, click "Reconnect", and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status is "Connected".
"Could not start the connection. Try again."
What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Procurify), and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connect Procurify" window opens.
"Paid plan" appears instead of the connect button
The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page. To learn how to change your plan, read how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Procurify again.
"You don't have permission to manage this section."
What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Procurify themselves. Learn more: access levels in a team.
How to tell it is resolved: after you refresh the page, the integration settings open.
If the problem isn't resolved, write to support@binomai.com or type "I want to talk to a person" in the chat with Tutor. Include the name of the Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.
How to disconnect Procurify
On the Procurify page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Procurify?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to reconnect the integration and enter the credentials again." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" will appear.
Other common questions
Do I need a developer to integrate Procurify?
No. You request Procurify in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
