Easyship Integration: Track Parcels and Verify Addresses in Chat – Easyship in Binom

Updated 5 min read 01 / 15
Short answer

How to connect Easyship to Binom: shipment status and tracking history, address checks and fixes. Available on request.

The Easyship integration with Binom answers customers' "where is my parcel" question: your AI employee finds the shipment, reports the delivery status and checks the recipient's address. Easyship is available on request in your Binom account: Integrations → More integrations → Easyship.

What Binom can do in Easyship

Binom here means your AI employee. After Easyship is connected, it calls the service's actions when a conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the account, each action is marked: read (Binom only views data), write or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Easyship).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Shipments Shipments, transaction history Create, update, delete, cancel
Tracking Statuses and delivery history Create and delete tracking
Addresses Addresses Validate, create, update
Carriers and boxes Carriers, their services, boxes Create and update
Labels No Create label

Can a chatbot tell where the parcel is in Easyship?

Yes. Binom finds the customer's shipment ("List Shipments") and reports the status and delivery history ("Get A Tracking").

Address verification

If a customer doubts an address, Binom checks it ("Validate A Single Address") and corrects the data in the shipment ("Update Shipment") before dispatch.

What access you will need

Connection method: access token. The token is created in the Easyship dashboard. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Easyship page in your account.

How to get the Easyship integration

Easyship is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the guide how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Easyship" in the "Search integrations" field and open the Easyship card.
  2. The page "Easyship integration for the assistant" will show the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Easyship.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Easyship page.
  5. Click "Connect", go through the steps in the "Connect Easyship" window and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If the message "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute." appears, click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Easyship

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The account states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant can call. Until something is selected, it has no access to any action."

  1. On the Easyship page, tick the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it is about to do and wait for your reply.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To get started, "List Shipments", "Get Shipment", "Get A Tracking" and "Validate A Single Address" are enough. Add actions for changing and deleting when you are ready to trust Binom with changes in Easyship.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, ask about a real shipment and compare the status with Easyship.

Possible problems

Binom does not use Easyship data in its answers

What to check: the Easyship status is "Connected" and the needed actions are ticked (for example "Get Shipment").
What to do: tick the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is fixed: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Easyship data.

"Could not save the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Easyship).
How to tell it is fixed: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Easyship can be connected.

"Reconnection required"

What it means: "The service no longer accepts the saved access, so the assistant is not using it."
What to do: open the Easyship page in More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is fixed: the status is "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Easyship) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is fixed: the "Connect Easyship" window opens.

"On paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what the plans include, see the plans and subscription prices page, and to change your plan, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing the plan, return to More integrations and open Easyship again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What it means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to grant you the Admin access level or to connect Easyship themselves. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it is fixed: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem is not resolved, write to support@binomai.com or send "I want to talk to a person" in the Binom Tutor chat. Include the name of your Binom, the integration and a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Easyship

On the Easyship page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Easyship?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, the integration will need to be connected again and the access details entered again." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" will appear.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a developer to integrate Easyship?

No. You request Easyship in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
