How to connect Re:amaze to Binom: answers from articles and templates, tickets, outage reports. Available on request.
The Re:amaze integration connects your AI employee with the online store's support: Binom answers using help articles and response templates, creates a conversation, reports current incidents, and leaves a note about the customer. Re:amaze is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Re:amaze.
What Binom can do in Re:amaze
Binom here refers to your AI employee. After you connect Re:amaze, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Re:amaze).
| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
|---|---|---|
| Conversations | Conversations and messages | Create a conversation, send a message, edit |
| Articles | Help articles | Create and edit |
| Templates | Response templates | Create and edit |
| Contacts | Contacts, their details and notes | Create, edit, notes |
| Status page | Incidents and systems | Create and edit an incident |
| Reports | Volume, response time, ratings | No |
Can the chatbot answer from the Re:amaze knowledge base?
Yes. Binom searches articles ("List Articles") and response templates ("List Response Templates") and answers the customer using the same wording.
Conversation and note
If a person is needed, Binom creates a conversation ("Create Conversation") and leaves a note about the customer ("Create Contact Note").
Reporting a current incident
Binom sees active incidents on the status page ("List Active Incidents") and immediately tells the customer that the problem is already known.
What access you will need
Connection method: API key. Only a Re:amaze administrator can create the token. Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Re:amaze page in the dashboard.
How to get the Re:amaze integration
Re:amaze is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the instructions how to connect a service from "More integrations".
- Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Re:amaze" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Re:amaze card.
- On the "Re:amaze integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access will be needed, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Re:amaze.
- Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
- A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Re:amaze page.
- Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connecting Re:amaze" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".
How to choose what Binom can do in Re:amaze
A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant may perform. Until something is selected, it has no access to any of them."
- On the Re:amaze page, tick the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
- Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it intends to do and wait for your confirmation.
- Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.
To get started, "List Articles", "List Response Templates", "Create Conversation" and "List Active Incidents" are enough. Add write and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Re:amaze.
How to check that the integration works
- Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example via the public chat link, ask a question that has an article covering it, and compare the answer with Re:amaze.
Possible problems
Binom does not use Re:amaze data in its answers
What to check: the Re:amaze status is "Connected", and the required actions are selected (for example "List Response Templates").
What to do: select the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the "Allowed actions saved" message appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Re:amaze data.
"Could not save the request. Please try again."
What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Re:amaze).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".
"The integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."
Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when Re:amaze becomes available to connect.
"Reconnect required"
What this means: "The service no longer accepts saved credentials, so the assistant does not use them."
What to do: open the Re:amaze page under More integrations, click "Reconnect", and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status shows "Connected".
"Could not start the connection. Please try again."
What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Re:amaze) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connect Re:amaze" window opens.
"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button
The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will notify you when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Re:amaze again.
"You do not have permission to manage this section."
What this means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Re:amaze yourself. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it's resolved: after you refresh the page, the integration settings open.
If the problem persists, write to support@binomai.com or send "I want to talk to a person" in the chat with Binom Tutor. Include the name of your Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.
How to disconnect Re:amaze
On the Re:amaze page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Re:amaze?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you'll need to connect the integration again and re-enter the credentials." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.
Other common questions
Do I need a developer to integrate Re:amaze?
No. You request Re:amaze in Integrations → More integrations, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
