How to Brand All Chat Windows in Your Brand Colors: the Branding Tab in Binom
Chat styling on your website in your brand colors is set once: Binom applies the shared colors and style to the public link, the widget, and the iFrame at the same time, so all chat windows look the same. It is configured in Settings → Branding tab.
How to set the shared style
- Open Settings → Branding tab.
- In the "Chat color" block, set: "Chat background color", "Chat icon color", "AI employee message background color", "AI employee message text color", "User message background color", "User message text color", "Message input text color", "Message input icon color".
- In the "Style and design" block, choose the corner radius, inner padding, and spacing between messages.
- Click "Save changes" – the page will reload to apply the settings.
How the style applies to channels
The shared style applies to a channel until separate styling is enabled in its settings:
- Public chat – the "Customize separately for public chat" checkbox;
- iFrame and Widget – the "Customize appearance separately" checkbox.
If the checkbox is enabled, the channel uses its own colors. Clear it to make the channel follow the shared style again.
How to restore the default styling
Click "Reset" on the Branding tab and confirm the action. Then click "Save changes".
How to check the result
Open the preview in Integrations → Widget or the public link in a new tab: the colors should match the ones you set. If the color has not changed, check whether separate styling is enabled for that channel.
