JobAdder Integration: Candidates and Jobs from Chat – JobAdder in Binom

Short answer

How to connect JobAdder to Binom: find a candidate by email and phone, create one, add notes, and submit to a job. Available on request.

The JobAdder integration with Binom helps a recruitment agency: the AI employee finds a candidate by email or phone, creates them, adds them to a job, and sends an application from a job board. JobAdder is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → JobAdder.

What Binom can do in JobAdder

Binom here means your AI employee. Once JobAdder is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: read (Binom only looks at data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in JobAdder).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Candidates Candidates, search by email and phone, activities Create, update, note, add to a job
Jobs and job ads Jobs, job ads, applications Job ad draft, update, application
Companies and contacts Client companies and contacts Activities and notes
Interviews Events and evaluations Create and update events, evaluations
Placements Placements Activities

Can the chatbot add a candidate in JobAdder?

Yes. Binom searches for a candidate by email ("Search By Email Address") or phone ("Search By Phone Number"), creates them ("Add A Candidate"), and leaves a note ("Add Candidate Note").

Candidate for a job

Binom shows job ads ("List Job Ads") and applies a candidate to a job ("Add Candidate To Job").

What access you will need

Connection method: sign-in via OAuth 2.0 (you log in to your service account and confirm access). Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the JobAdder page in the dashboard.

How to get the JobAdder integration

JobAdder is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. General catalog rules are described in the instructions how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "JobAdder" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the JobAdder card.
  2. On the "JobAdder integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "The integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access will be needed, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in JobAdder.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." appears, and the button changes to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button appears on the JobAdder page.
  5. Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connecting JobAdder" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If the message "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete; check again in a minute." appears, click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in JobAdder

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant may call. Until something is selected, it has access to none of them."

  1. On the JobAdder page, tick the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter by actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any action that writes or deletes data, Binom will describe what it is about to do and wait for your response.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To start, "Search By Email Address", "Add A Candidate", "Add Candidate Note" and "Add Candidate To Job" are enough. Add the actions that edit and delete data when you are ready to let Binom make changes in JobAdder.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a public chat link, leave test candidate details, and check them in JobAdder.

Possible problems

Binom does not use JobAdder data in its answers

What to check: that the JobAdder status is "Connected" and the needed actions are ticked (for example "Add A Candidate").
What to do: tick the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is fixed: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using JobAdder data.

"Could not save the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (JobAdder).
How to tell it is fixed: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when JobAdder becomes available to connect.

"Needs reconnection"

What it means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
What to do: open the JobAdder page in More integrations, click "Reconnect" and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is fixed: the status is "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (JobAdder) and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is fixed: the "Connecting JobAdder" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what is included in each plan, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open JobAdder again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What it means: only users with the Owner or Administrator access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Administrator access level or to connect JobAdder themselves. More details: team access levels.
How to tell it is fixed: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem is not resolved, write to support@binomai.com or send the message "I want to talk to a person" in the chat with Tutor. Include the name of your Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect JobAdder

On the JobAdder page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect JobAdder?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to reconnect the integration and enter the credentials again." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" will appear.

Other Common Questions

Do I need a programmer to integrate JobAdder?

No. You request JobAdder in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
