Vincere Integration: Candidates and Applications from Chat – Vincere in Binom

Updated 6 min read 03 / 10
Short answer

How to connect Vincere to Binom: job and candidate search, applications, hiring stages. Available on request.

The Vincere integration with Binom helps a recruiting agency: the AI employee searches for job openings and candidates, creates a candidate and a job application, and moves an application to the interview stage. Vincere is available on request in your Binom account: Integrations → More integrations → Vincere.

What Binom can do in Vincere

Here, Binom means your AI employee. After you connect Vincere, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In your account, each action is labeled: read (Binom only views data), write, or delete (Binom changes or deletes data in Vincere).

Section What Binom can view What Binom can change
Candidates Candidates, search, experience, education Create and edit
Jobs Jobs, search, skills, questions Edit skills
Applications Applications, stages, history Create, move to a stage, reject
Companies and contacts Companies, contacts Create and edit
Activities Activities on records No

Can the chatbot add a candidate to Vincere?

Yes. Binom searches for a candidate ("Search Candidate Records"), creates the candidate ("Create Candidate"), and submits an application for a job ("Create Job Application").

Job openings and the interview stage

Binom finds suitable job openings ("Search Job Records") and, when a recruiter asks, moves an application to the interview stage ("Move Application Forward To Stage Interview").

What access you will need

Connection options to choose from: OAuth 2.0; OAuth 2.0 for testing. You will need an app registered in Vincere. Details for each option are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Vincere page in your account.

How to get the Vincere integration

Vincere is available on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general rules for the catalog are described in the instructions on how to connect a service from "More integrations".

  1. Open Integrations → More integrations, enter "Vincere" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Vincere card.
  2. The "Vincere integration for assistant" page will show the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Here, the assistant is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Vincere.
  3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
  4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Vincere page.
  5. Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connecting Vincere" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting…", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "The confirmation hasn't arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

How to choose what Binom can do in Vincere

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. Your account states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant can trigger. Until you select something, it cannot use any of them."

  1. On the Vincere page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter by actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
  2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it intends to do and wait for your reply.
  3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To get started, "Search Job Records", "Search Candidate Records", "Create Candidate" and "Create Job Application" are enough. Add the update and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Vincere.

How to check that the integration works

  • Start a new chat with your Binom, for example via a public chat link, leave test candidate details, and check them in Vincere.

Possible problems

Binom does not use Vincere data in its answers

What to check: that the Vincere status is "Connected" and the required actions are selected (for example "Search Candidate Records").
What to do: select the actions and click "Save".
How to tell it is resolved: the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new chat Binom answers using Vincere data.

"Could not record the request. Please try again."

What to do: click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Vincere).
How to tell it is resolved: the button shows "Requested".

"Integration is temporarily unavailable – your request has been recorded."

Nothing else is needed: your request is saved, and you will be notified when Vincere can be connected.

"Needs reconnection"

What this means: "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
What to do: open the Vincere page in More integrations, click "Reconnect", and go through the connection window again.
How to tell it is resolved: the status is "Connected".

"Could not start the connection. Please try again."

What to do: click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Vincere), and a screenshot of the message.
How to tell it is resolved: the "Connecting Vincere" window opens.

"On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the plans and subscription pricing page, and for how to switch plans, see the guide how to change or upgrade your plan. After changing your plan, return to More integrations and open Vincere again.

"You do not have permission to manage this section."

What this means: only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
What to do: ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level, or to connect Vincere themselves. More details: access levels in a team.
How to tell it is resolved: after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem isn't resolved, write to support@binomai.com or send the message "I want to talk to a person" in the chat with Tutor. Include the name of your Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

How to disconnect Vincere

On the Vincere page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Vincere?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the credentials." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.

Other common questions

Do I need a developer to integrate Vincere?

No. You request Vincere in the Integrations → More integrations section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
