# Zoho Sprints Integration: Tasks and Backlog from Chat - Zoho Sprints in Binom

*Updated: 21.10.2026, 20:37 UTC*

The Zoho Sprints integration with Binom turns requests from clients and the team into sprint tasks: the AI employee creates a task in the backlog, sets a tag, reports the status, and logs the hours spent. Zoho Sprints is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → Zoho Sprints.

## What Binom can do in Zoho Sprints

Binom here refers to your AI employee. Once Zoho Sprints is connected, it calls the service's actions when the conversation needs that data. You decide which actions are available to it. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: **read** (Binom only views data), **write**, or **delete** (Binom changes or deletes data in Zoho Sprints).

| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Tasks | Tasks, subtasks, activity, attachments | Create, edit, move, subtasks |
| Backlog and sprints | Backlog, sprints, active sprint | Backlog item, move to sprint, start and complete sprint |
| Epics and releases | Epics, releases, milestones | Create and edit, add tasks |
| Time | Logged hours | Log and edit hours |
| Projects and tags | Projects, statuses, priorities, tags | Create and edit |

## Can the chatbot create a task in Zoho Sprints?

Yes. Binom creates a task in the project backlog ("Create Backlog Item") with a description taken from the conversation and sets a tag ("Associate Item Tags").

## Task status and hours

Binom finds the task ("Get Item Details") and reports its status, and logs the hours spent for the employee ("Add Log Hours").

## What access you will need

Connection method: sign-in via OAuth 2.0 (you log in to your service account and confirm access). Details for each method are shown in the "Authentication" block on the Zoho Sprints page in the dashboard.

## How to get the Zoho Sprints integration

Zoho Sprints is connected on request: first, the Binom team sets up the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the instructions [how to connect a service from "More integrations"](https://binomai.com/faq/connect-service-to-chatbot/).

1. Open [Integrations → More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14), enter "Zoho Sprints" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the Zoho Sprints card.
2. The "Zoho Sprints integration for assistant" page will show the message "The integration is available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." Assistant here refers to your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows which access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in Zoho Sprints.
3. Click "Request integration". The message "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration becomes available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested".
4. A Binom setup specialist will contact you. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the Zoho Sprints page.
5. Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connect Zoho Sprints" window, and click "Done". After "Connecting...", the status will change to "Connected". If you see "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute.", click "Check again".

## How to choose what Binom can do in Zoho Sprints

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this directly: "Select the actions the assistant can perform. Until you select something, it has no access to any of them."

1. On the Zoho Sprints page, check the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before any write or delete action, Binom will describe what it intends to do and wait for your reply.
3. Click "Save". The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms your changes.

To get started, "Get All Projects", "Get Project Backlog", "Create Backlog Item" and "Get Item Details" are enough. Add the update and delete actions when you are ready to let Binom make changes in Zoho Sprints.

## How to check that the integration works

- Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a [public chat link](https://binomai.com/faq/public-chat-link/), send a test request, and check the task in your Zoho Sprints backlog.

## Possible problems

### Binom does not use Zoho Sprints data in its answers

**What to check:** the Zoho Sprints status is "Connected", and the needed actions are selected (for example "Get Project Backlog").
**What to do:** select the actions and click "Save".
**How to tell it is fixed:** the message "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using Zoho Sprints data.

### "Could not save the request. Please try again."

**What to do:** click "Request integration" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (Zoho Sprints).
**How to tell it is fixed:** the button shows "Requested".

### "Integration temporarily unavailable - your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: your request is saved, and you will get a notification when Zoho Sprints can be connected.

### "Reconnection required"

**What this means:** "The service no longer accepts saved access, so the assistant does not use it."
**What to do:** open the Zoho Sprints page in [More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14), click "Reconnect", and go through the connection window again.
**How to tell it is fixed:** the status is "Connected".

### "Could not start the connection. Please try again."

**What to do:** click "Connect" again. If the message keeps appearing, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (Zoho Sprints), and a screenshot of the message.
**How to tell it is fixed:** the "Connect Zoho Sprints" window opens.

### "Paid plan" shown instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need and we'll let you know when it launches." To see what each plan includes, check the [pricing plans](https://app.binomai.com/plans) page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide [how to change or upgrade your plan](https://binomai.com/faq/change-subscription-plan/). After changing your plan, return to [More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14) and open Zoho Sprints again.

### "You do not have permission to manage this section."

**What this means:** only users with the Owner or Admin access level can manage integrations.
**What to do:** ask the account owner to give you the Admin access level or to connect Zoho Sprints yourself. More details: [access levels in the team](https://binomai.com/faq/kak-raspredelit-obyazannosti-v-komande-s-pomoshhyu-pyati-urovnej-dostupa-owner-admin-editor-operator-viewer/).
**How to tell it's resolved:** after you refresh the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem persists, write to support@binomai.com or, in the [Binom Tutor](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/binom-tutor-stream) chat, type "I want to talk to a person". Specify the name of the Binom, the integration, and attach a screenshot of the message.

## How to disconnect Zoho Sprints

On the Zoho Sprints page, click "Disconnect". The "Disconnect Zoho Sprints?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, you will need to connect the integration again and re-enter the credentials." Confirm, and the message "Integration disconnected" will appear.

## Other common questions

### Do I need a developer to integrate Zoho Sprints?

No. You request Zoho Sprints in the [Integrations → More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14) section, the Binom team configures the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
