# SD Worx Integration: Employee Leave in Chat - SD Worx in Binom

*Updated: 22.10.2026, 15:55 UTC*

The SD Worx integration with Binom helps employees with their leave: your AI employee checks leave entitlements, books leave, and deletes a booking if plans change. SD Worx is available on request in the Binom dashboard: Integrations → More integrations → SD Worx.

## What Binom can do in SD Worx

Binom here means your AI employee. Once SD Worx is connected, it calls the service's actions when a conversation needs that data. You decide which actions it can use. In the dashboard, each action is labeled: **read** (Binom only views data), **write** or **delete** (Binom changes or deletes data in SD Worx).

| Section | What Binom can view | What Binom can change |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Leave | Leave, leave entitlements, hours | Create, change, delete |
| Employees | Employees, contracts, contacts, documents | Create and change |
| Salary | Salaries, components, calculations, payslips | Create and change |
| Structure | Companies, departments, positions, org structure | Create and change |

## Can Binom book leave in SD Worx?

Yes. Binom finds the employee ("List Persons"), checks their leave entitlements ("List Person Leave Entitlements"), and books leave ("Create Person Leave").

## Cancelling leave

If plans change, Binom deletes the leave record ("Delete Person Leave").

## What access you will need

Connection options to choose from: OAuth 2.0 with user sign-in; OAuth 2.0 with client keys. Details for each option are shown in the "Authentication" block on the SD Worx page in the dashboard.

## How to get the SD Worx integration

SD Worx is set up on request: first, the Binom team configures the integration for your account. The general catalog rules are described in the guide [how to connect a service from "More integrations"](https://binomai.com/faq/connect-service-to-chatbot/).

1. Open [Integrations → More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14), type "SD Worx" in the "Search integrations" field, and open the SD Worx card.
2. On the "SD Worx integration for assistant" page, you will see the message "Integration available on request. Request it now, and we will set it up for you as a priority." The assistant here is your Binom. The "Authentication" block shows what access you will need, and the "Actions" list shows everything Binom can do in SD Worx.
3. Click "Request integration." "Request sent. You will receive a notification when the integration is available." will appear, and the button will change to "Requested."
4. A Binom team member will contact you about the setup. When the integration is ready, a "Connect" button will appear on the SD Worx page.
5. Click "Connect," go through the steps in the "Connect SD Worx" window, and click "Done." After "Connecting...," the status will change to "Connected." If "Confirmation has not arrived yet. The connection may still complete, so check again in a minute." appears, click "Check again."

## How to choose what Binom can do in SD Worx

A connected integration does nothing until you allow actions. The dashboard states this clearly: "Select the actions the assistant can call. Until something is selected, it cannot use any of them."

1. On the SD Worx page, tick the actions you need in the "Actions" list. The "Filter actions" field helps you find them by name. The counter shows how many are selected.
2. Check the "Ask before changing data" toggle. It is on by default: before a write or delete action, Binom will describe what it is about to do and wait for your reply.
3. Click "Save." The message "Allowed actions saved" confirms the changes.

To start, "List Persons," "List Person Leave Entitlements," "Create Person Leave," and "Delete Person Leave" are enough. Add change and delete actions when you are ready to trust Binom with changes in SD Worx.

## How to check that the integration works

- Start a new conversation with your Binom, for example through a [public chat link](https://binomai.com/faq/public-chat-link/), ask about leave entitlements, and compare the answer with SD Worx.

## Possible problems

### Binom does not use SD Worx data in its answers

**What to check:** the SD Worx status is "Connected," and the needed actions are ticked (for example "List Person Leave Entitlements").
**What to do:** tick the actions and click "Save."
**How to tell it is solved:** "Allowed actions saved" appears, and in a new conversation Binom answers using SD Worx data.

### "Could not save the request. Please try again."

**What to do:** click "Request integration" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom and the integration (SD Worx).
**How to tell it is solved:** the button shows "Requested."

### "Integration is temporarily unavailable. Your request has been saved."

Nothing else is needed: the request is saved, and you will receive a notification when SD Worx can be connected.

### "Reconnection required"

**What it means:** "The service no longer accepts the saved access, so the assistant is not using it."
**What to do:** open the SD Worx page in [More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14), click "Reconnect," and go through the connection window again.
**How to tell it is solved:** the status is "Connected."

### "Could not start the connection. Please try again."

**What to do:** click "Connect" again. If the message repeats, write to support@binomai.com with the name of your Binom, the integration (SD Worx), and a screenshot of the message.
**How to tell it is solved:** the "Connect SD Worx" window opens.

### "On a paid plan" instead of the connect button

The page will show "Available on a paid plan. Tell us what you need, and we will let you know when it launches." For what each plan includes, see the [plans and subscription pricing](https://app.binomai.com/plans) page, and for how to change your plan, see the guide [how to change or upgrade your plan](https://binomai.com/faq/change-subscription-plan/). After changing your plan, return to [More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14) and open SD Worx again.

### "You do not have permission to manage this section."

**What it means:** only users with the Owner or Administrator access level can manage integrations.
**What to do:** ask the account owner to give you the Administrator level or to connect SD Worx themselves. More details: [access levels in a team](https://binomai.com/faq/kak-raspredelit-obyazannosti-v-komande-s-pomoshhyu-pyati-urovnej-dostupa-owner-admin-editor-operator-viewer/).
**How to tell it is solved:** after refreshing the page, the integration settings open.

If the problem is not solved, write to support@binomai.com or send "I want to talk to a person" in the [Binom Tutor](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/binom-tutor-stream) chat. Include the name of your Binom, the integration, and a screenshot of the message.

## How to disconnect SD Worx

On the SD Worx page, click "Disconnect." The "Disconnect SD Worx?" window will show a warning: "The assistant will lose access to the service. To restore it, the integration will need to be connected again and the access details entered again." Confirm, and "Integration disconnected" will appear.

## Other common questions

### Do I need a developer for the SD Worx integration?

No. You request SD Worx in the [Integrations → More integrations](https://app.binomai.com/cabinet/binom/integrations?tab=14) section, the Binom team sets up the integration, and then you connect the account yourself and choose the actions.
